- 2000 Audi s4
My son has a 2000 s4. All stock nothing done to it. He said the clutch was slipping so he brought it to a shop and after 6 months they finally decided to get to the car. He got a call that the clutch was done but the car has no power wont start wont crank nothing. They said the computer is bad. The clutch they took out didn't really have anything wrong with it that it was the ecu the whole time making it seem like the clutch was slipping. I called BS on this. If it was an auto and the tcm was going bad I can see the tranny slipping. But this is a manual tranny. They said the battery was dead and when they went to jump in they got nothing. So I think, which I may be wrong, that they fried the ecu. Can anyone clarify if my thought process is right or wrong before I flip on this shop.
