Hi ALL.
I started with an Audi A3 1.6 petrol sportback and then changed to an A5 Convertible which I loved. I then moved on to an S3 saloon and it was in a manual gearbox and kept it for a few years until I injured my back in 2022. I now drive an A6 avant and to be honest it is a lovely car BUT I miss having the 'old style' tech in my car.
I am due to retire in a couple of years and I am looking at possibly an A4 or an S4 saloon. I am hoping to find one that has not been modified but well kept with full service history. I spoke to a friend of mine and he suggested I look on the forums and seek the advice of like minded people, so here I am.
I am hoping to avoid the many pitfalls out there when purchasing a used car and more importantly avoid the models that have known issues, such as my A5 which was burning excess oil and had to be remedied by Audi in the region of £10,000 but it was worth it as the car ran better than ever.
Hopefully, someone can point me in the right direction with regards to genuine Audi enthusiast.
